2012 Dates & Location
August 31-September 3 (Friday-Monday)
United Christian Youth Camp (UCYC) in Prescott, Arizona
Theme Title
“Living Out Our Doctrines in Love: The Practical Implications of the Doctrines of Grace”
Theme Description
It’s been said before: Those who understand and hold to the doctrines of grace should be the most humble, most grateful, most loving people on earth. Sadly, however, this isn’t always the case.
This year at BTC, we will consider how the “Five Points of Calvinism” should impact us as believers; how these doctrines should be applied practically in our daily lives to deepen our love for Christ, strengthen our service to the Church, and embolden our witness to the world.

Gordon Taylor

Gordon served two Baptist churches as pastor during his almost 39 years of pastoral ministry. He was pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Greene, IA from 1969 to 1975. In May of 1975 he began a thirty-three year ministry at the Sycamore Baptist Church near East Moline, IL. While at Sycamore he led the church through a reformation, which culminated in adopting the 1689 Confession in 1987. The church joined RBMS in 1995 and ARBCA in 1998. Gordon was appointed by the churches of ARBCA to serve as Coordinator in 2008. Gordon and Rayna have four married children and thirteen grandchildren.
As Coordinator of the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America, Gordon is called by the member churches of ARBCA to devote himself fulltime to the work of coordinating the cooperative work of the churches in the areas of Foreign Missions (RBMS), Home Missions (CPC), Theological Education (IRBS), and Publications. He also travels to member churches to preach, present mission reports, and serve in whatever way he may be asked. He also visits non-member churches to present the work of ARBCA. When traveling to visit the missionaries he attempts to gain an understanding of their work, learn the culture, and to assist them in whatever way they desire. He then reports back to the churches to encourage a greater burden for prayer, support and involvement in missions. His wife, Rayna, accompanies him as much as possible.
Sam Waldron

Dr. Sam Waldron is the academic dean of MCTS and professor of Systematic Theology. He is also one of the pastors of Heritage Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY. Dr. Waldron received a B.A. from Cornerstone University, an M.Div. from Trinity Ministerial Academy, a Th.M. from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Sam has been married to his dear wife Charlene since 1975. They have four children whom they love very much. Sam was a pastor of the Reformed Baptist Church of Grand Rapids from 1977-2001 and taught at Trinity Ministerial Academy from 1981 to 1989. He has authored a number of books including The Modern Exposition of the 1689 Baptist Confession, The End Times Made Simple, To Be Continued? and MacArthur’s Millennial Manifesto: A Friendly Response. He has gladly served as one of the pastors of Heritage Baptist Church since 2005. Sam enjoys reading, weight-lifting, walking, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
