James Renihan, PhD

International reformed baptist seminary• mansfield, TX

After a ministry of church planting in central Massachusetts, Dr. James Renihan and his family moved to Escondido, CA in 1998 to begin serving as Dean of the newly formed Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies. He led that work for 20 years, and when it became IRBS Theological Seminary in 2018 was appointed the first president. He has served as a pastor of churches in Massachusetts, New York and California. He is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (PhD), Seminary of the East (MDiv), Trinity Ministerial Academy, and Liberty Baptist College (BS). His academic work has focused on the Second London Baptist Confession and the broader Puritan theological context from which it arose. Dr. Renihan is the author of several helpful works including For the Vindication of the Truth: Baptist Symbolics Volume 1; Faith and Life for Baptists: The Documents of the London Particular Baptist Assemblies, 1689-1694; and To the Judicious & Impartial Reader: Baptist Symbolics Volume 2.

Chris Marley

miller valley baptist church • prescott, AZ

Chris J. Marley is the senior pastor at Miller Valley Baptist Church in Prescott, AZ. Chris graduated from Westminster Seminary California with a Masters of Divinity and certificate from the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies in May, 2009, and moved to Prescott with his wife, Leah. He was ordained by Miller Valley Baptist Church on September 20, 2009. He is the father of three children and the author of several works including Scarlet & White: The Ideal Husband & His Princess Bride, published by Founders Press. 

Jim Butler

Free Grace Baptist Church • Chilliwack, British Columbia

Jim Butler was born and raised in Long Beach, California. After serving four years in the US Air Force, he was saved by the grace of God in Palmdale, California. He joined the Palmdale Reformed Baptist Church and received training for the gospel ministry under the mentorship of Dr. Richard Barcellos. In 1997, he was sent out as a church-planter to Chilliwack, B.C. and has since served as the pastor of the Free Grace Baptist Church. His formal theological education is through Whitefield Theological Seminary where he earned the Master of Divinity and the Master of Theology degrees.

He is happily married to Rebecca and they have five children and seventeen grandchildren.

Daniel Scheiderer

International reformed baptist seminary• mansfield, TX

Dr. Daniel Scheiderer has ministered at churches in KY, MA, and PA. He received his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). He also received a B.A. from Boyce College and an M.Div. and ThM at SBTS. Before college, he served in the Army as an Infantryman for almost 6 years. After being wounded on deployments, he was medically retired in 2013. He's been married to Patsy since 2007, and they have 4 beautiful children. In addition to his ministry to the local church, he serves as Assistant Professor of Christian Theology at International Reformed Baptist Seminary (IRBS), adjunct at SBTS, and as a ThM Advisor at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS).

The Church: The Bride of Christ

This year’s conference is again fully-loaded with teaching and preaching. Most sessions will include congregational singing, Scripture-reading, corporate prayer, and the preaching of the Word of God. There will also be time for getting to know the other attendees during extended meal times and after the last session each day.

The bookstore will be open daily starting at 8am with coffee provided all day.

All early and general registrants will get lunch and dinner included. Each meal will include gluten-free and vegetarian options.
